The Iraqi forces captured the villages of Jahleh, Zahiliyeh and Arkoubeh Jad’eh, Dowr Al-Qaeda complex and al-Qayara power plant in the shortest time possible
According to a security source, the Iraqi Army troops and popular mobilization forces took full control of three key villages and a power plant in Northern Salahuddin bordering Southern Nineveh.
The security source stated that ISIL had fled the battlefield and none of their insurgents were found in the villages, near the power plant.
The source added that the “Liberation of Jahleh, Zahiliyeh and Arkoubeh Jad’eh, Dowr al-Qaeda complex and al-Qayara power plant has separated al-Qayara from al-Sharqat,”
“The Iraqi soldiers also took full control over a road connecting al-Qayara to al-Sharqat previously used by the ISIL terrorists as a supply line,” the sources said.
“After today’s advances and imposing siege on al-Qayara and al-Sharqat, the Iraqi forces will storm the ISIL’s defense lines in Nineveh province and Mosul,” the sources added.
