ISIS CUT OFF WATER SUPPLY TO THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN LIBERATED AREAS OF MOSUL

(The Daily Mail newspaper) ISIS has turned off the water supply to hundreds of homes in Mosul as the jihadists continue to lose ground to government forces.

Iraqi forces have seized at least two-thirds of Mosul’s eastern districts as well as its surrounding towns and villages, which have been under ISIS control for two years.

Islamic militants still rule over the city’s water stations, and are understood to have switched off the supply to 30 neighbourhoods, according to the Daily Telegraph.

A fresh push that started on December 29 has seen Iraqi forces, with increased backing from the US-led coalition, make significant gains in the city
