F.S.C ISSUED A DECISION ALLOWS THE DISMISSAL OF ANY MINISTER BY VOTE

The Iraqi Federal Supreme Court issued a decision allows the dismissal of any minister by voting in the Iraqi parliament and replace him or her by another With a statement of the reason for the dismissal.

The spokesman of the Supreme Judicial Council spokesman Abdul Sattar AL-Beryktar said in a statement that the court confirmed that the proper functioning of the Ministers Council to implement the state public policy requires the parliament’s decision to sack any minister and appoint another, noting that the requirement of the Supreme Court in its decision to clarify the reason for the dismissal.

The decision came after the Article number 78 of the Iraqi Constitution, which empowered the prime minister without giving any reason, the right to dismiss any minister with the approval of the chamber of deputies, noting at the same time that the resolution stressed that the Prime Minister in accordance with the constitutional text is the direct responsible executive for public policy of the State.
